Casting Directors Association

The CDA is an alliance of Casting Directors dedicated to upholding professional standards within the industry.

We are committed to raising the profile of Casting Directors in the UK & RoI whilst representing the majority views and opinions of these Casting Directors in an official capacity.

• Complimentary Subscription to SPOTLIGHT – Spotlight are delighted to offer complimentary Spotlight access to Full CDA members, on your one year membership anniversary

Associate Members

• Invited to attend meetings, Awards and CDA socials
• Login Access to the resources available in the CDA website members only section
• Advice from our Board Members on all things industry related
• Must be an Associate Member for 2 years before applying for full membership

To join the CDA, Casting Directors must have reached a professional level. Applicants with less than 3 years of professional experience as a Casting Director may apply for associate membership.

Full Membership Requirements

Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years professional experience as a Casting Director, this is defined as having received casting credit without the title ‘associate’ or ‘assistant’. Applications must be supported by two Full Members of the CDA.

Fees

• One off joining fee: £50
• Annual subscription fee: £150

Associate Membership Requirements

Applicants eligible should have 2 years experience as an Associate Casting Director or 3 years experience as an Assistant Casting Director and must be able to supply references. Applications must be supported by two full members of the CDA.

After 2 years as an Associate Member of the CDA you will be invited to submit 3 pieces of work to support your application for full membership.
