INAUGURAL CDA AWARDS
We are excited to announce that this spring will see the first ever award ceremony in the UK to specifically honour the work of the Casting Director.
On Friday 17th March 2017 the Casting Directors Association (CDA) will hold their inaugural awards in London. The awards will celebrate and promote the art of casting – finding the perfect talent for every role, whatever the brief.
The CDA Awards is open to all its members and has casting categories to celebrate achievement in Film, Commercials and Music Videos.
A judging panel drawn from experts across the industry will select the winners from a shortlist within each category. CDA members will have the initial, first round votes – the top three in each category moving to the final judging round.
The winners will be announced at the CDA Awards Dinner to be held at The Crypt in Ely Place.
In recent years there has been a call for award bodies such as The Academy Awards (the Oscars) and BAFTA to recognise the invaluable contribution Casting Directors make to the industry.
The CDA Awards are paving the way!
